Job summary

Ethos Biosciences, part of the Ott Scientific family, is hiring a Microbiology Technician in Logan Township, NJ. The role focuses on manufacturing bacterial control materials for microbiology staining, in compliance with ISO 13485 and FDA/21 CFR requirements.

You will culture, harvest, and process bacterial cultures, support QC testing, maintain documentation, and ensure precise procedures. Requires 1–3 years of related lab experience and a degree in microbiology or a related field.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Microbiology, Biology, Medical Laboratory Science, or related field.
• 1–3 years of laboratory experience, preferably in manufacturing, clinical, or regulated environment.
• Experience with aseptic technique and bacterial culturing required.

Responsibilities

• Culture, maintain, and propagate bacterial organisms per established work instructions and aseptic technique.
• Harvest, quantify, and process bacterial cultures into control slides, suspensions, or other finished control formats.
• Prepare growth media, reagents, and consumables required for production.
• Maintain and monitor incubators, biosafety cabinets, autoclaves, and related equipment.
• Perform in-process and final QC checks on manufactured controls; document lot records and batch documentation accurately.
• Manage stock cultures and maintain organism inventory.
