Job summary

Nice-Pak Products, LLC seeks a Specialist Quality Microbiologist I to perform daily sample testing and microbiological analyses on raw materials and finished products. You will learn to operate independently in one lab area and assist others as needed.

Responsibilities include cGMP testing, documenting results, managing lab workflows, investigating OOS/OOT, and supporting method development and SOP updates while ensuring compliance with GMP and USP guidelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree in biology with emphasis in microbiology.
• Thorough knowledge of bacterial colony morphology, diagnostic media and rapid methods of organism identification.
• Knowledge of GMPs and USP regulations related to microbial testing.
• 0-1 years in a microbiology lab; aseptic techniques and gram staining preferred.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions under pressure.
• Experience with membrane filtration, autoclave operation, serial dilutions and standard plate counts.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document testing in accordance with cGMP, including finished product analysis and raw material testing.
• Identify and study microorganisms and their byproducts.
• Investigate OOS/OOT results and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain laboratory documentation meeting GMP and USP standards.
• Assist in training new Associates.
• Support SOP creation, review, and revision activities.
