Job summary

US Tech Solutions is seeking a QC Scientist II to perform moderately complex microbiology analyses in a GMP-regulated lab, supporting development and manufacturing operations. You will execute microbial testing on raw materials, in-process, stability samples, and production intermediates, and document results.

The role requires a Bachelor s degree in Biology or Chemistry (or an Associate with relevant experience) and 3+ years in a pharmaceutical microbiology lab, with familiarity of LIMS,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biology or Chemistry preferred; Associate degree with relevant experience acceptable.
• 3+ years in a Pharmaceutical Microbiology laboratory or related field.
• Experience with LIMS/SLIM/TrackWise/Documentum is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated.

Responsibilities

• Conducts moderately complex microbiological testing of in process products and finished products by internally developed and compendial test methods.
• Executes validated test methods for in process products, and finished products for Bioburden, Bacterial Endotoxin Testing, Particulate Matter, Sterility, and Water testing.
• Recognizes and reports out-of-specification or unexpected results and non-routine analytical and product problems; recommends solutions.
• Maintains and troubleshoots analytical instrumentation as needed.
• Clearly and accurately communicates the results of work by creating documentation of the testing/analysis and obtained results.
• Prepares and assists in filing regulatory documents in support of internal projects.
• Writes SOPs and other instructional documents.
• Cleans and organizes work area, instrumentation, and testing materials.
