Job summary

Alcon Fort Worth, TX is seeking an Associate I in Quality Control Lab – Microbiology to perform microbiological testing and environmental monitoring while ensuring aseptic practices and regulatory compliance. The role supports product validation, release, and ongoing quality programs in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include Gram stain identifications, complex project work, and collaboration with other departments to integrate lab results into manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
• Fluency in reading, writing, understanding and communicating in English
• Work location Fort Worth, TX; full-time, non-exempt

Responsibilities

• Conduct microbiological testing (bioburden, sterility, bacterial endotoxin, preservative efficacy) per SOPs
• Perform microbial identification using Gram stain and interpret results
• Handle complex tasks and contribute to advanced projects in QC Lab - Microbiology
• Conduct environmental monitoring and testing maintaining aseptic practices
• Support product and process validation, product release, and regulatory compliance
• Make significant decisions within project area influencing outcomes
• Collaborate with affiliated departments to integrate lab results into manufacturing
• Drive problem-solving and innovation through scientific principles
• Adhere to GxP SOPs and maintain accurate documentation
• Complete required training and meet job requirements for compliance
• Commit to continuous improvement and regulatory compliance
