Lighthouse Lab Services seeks a full-time Microbiology MLS/MLT for the largest independent reference lab in the Pacific Northwest.

About the Position
This full-time role involves working in a state-of-the-art WASP (Walk Away Specimen Processing) lab, utilizing automation and technology to enhance accuracy and efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist or Technician specializing in Microbiology, performing advanced testing and analysis to support excellent patient care and professional growth.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Perform microbiological tests including culture, sensitivity, molecular diagnostics, serology, and microscopy.
Identify and classify bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites using advanced techniques.
Operate and maintain laboratory equipment.
Ensure test accuracy through quality control.
Troubleshoot technical issues.
Collaborate with healthcare providers on test results.
Support and train laboratory staff.
Develop and update procedures.
Participate in proficiency testing.
Maintain patient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA.
Provide excellent customer service.
Maintain detailed records.
Demonstrate analytical skills, teamwork, adaptability, and professionalism.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Job Requirements
Associates degree in Medical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology, or related field.
ASCP certification or equivalent.
2-3 years of high complexity testing experience, preferably in a core lab.
Proficiency in microbiology testing is highly preferred.

Salary/Schedule/Benefits
MLS: $34-38/hr; MLT: $28-32/hr (based on experience)
3rd shift, Wednesday-Saturday, 8pm-6:30am, with training scheduled M-Th 6am-5pm for 2-3 weeks.
