DMC University Laboratories, Inc. in Detroit, MI is seeking a Medical Lab Scientist (MLS) specializing in Microbiology. You will perform quantitative and qualitative tests, analyze results, and maintain accurate records to support patient care.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in medical technology or equivalent and state licensure as required, with registry-eligibility within 12 months. Prior acute care experience is preferred and certification is expected within 12 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent per CLIA requirements.
• 6 months to 1 year of medical laboratory technologist or CLS experience preferred.
• Registered or registry-eligible per ASCP/NCA/AMT/CSMLS within 12 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform quantitative and qualitative laboratory tests on patient specimens.
• Analyze results, prepare samples, and maintain records.
• Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation and equipment.
