Job summary

Baptist Jacksonville is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II for the Laboratory Services department in Microbiology. This PRN, various shifts opportunity provides responsibilities in specimen processing, LIS tasks, and departmental clerical duties while operating under supervision.

Qualified candidates will have 3–5 years of clinical lab experience and hold Florida licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist or Medical Technologist, with an AS degree required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Less than 1 year of medical technologist experience.
• Licensed Clinical Laboratory Technologist – DOH.
• Licensed Medical Technologist.
• Associates of Science required.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical duties including specimen collection/processing and LIS tasks.
• Maintain records of performance per SOPs.
• Oversee MLTs as General Supervisor and act as Charge Technologist in absence of supervisors.
• Instruct new employees and students.
