Job summary

Mercy Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) in Microbiology for St. Elizabeth Youngstown Hospital. The MLT will perform routine tests on blood and tissue specimens, delivering high-quality, timely results while safeguarding patient safety and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine analytical tests on biological specimens following procedure protocols.
• Determines acceptability of specimens via visual inspection or abnormal results.
• Performs quality control and ensures results meet established ranges prior to reporting.
• Maintains a safe and efficient lab environment with equipment checks and proper cleaning.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
