Job summary

UVM Health - UVM Medical Center is seeking a Medical Laboratory Technician to perform routine laboratory testing, calculations and reporting of results, while assisting in equipment maintenance. You will recognize abnormal results and instrument or quality control problems, notifying a supervisor and following preset recheck strategies.

The weekend schedule requires 1.5 weekends per month. This position is benefits eligible, supporting patient care in a dynamic laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Performs routine laboratory tests, computes and reports results.
• Recognizes abnormal results and instrument or QC problems.

Responsibilities

• Performs, calculates and reports selected routine laboratory tests and helps maintain equipment.
• Notifies supervisor and follows preset strategies to recheck these findings.
