Job summary

Leprino Foods is seeking a Lab Technician III, Microbiology to support the Microbiology Department by sampling and performing microbiological testing of milk, dry dairy, cheese, and environmental samples. The role provides lab support and shares knowledge to improve processes.

You will work in a high-volume lab in Denver, with duties including media preparation, sample prep, inventory, and autoclave operation, contributing to product safety and quality.

Qualifications

• Associates or bachelor's degree in Microbiology or equivalent experience.
• Previous lab experience preferred.
• Ability to follow written procedures accurately in Microbiology.

Responsibilities

• Lab Assistance: Clean equipment, organize glassware, and prep samples (labeling, diluting, pipetting).
• Media Preparation: Prepare sterile augers, broths, and reagents; track inventory and QC media.
• General Housekeeping: Maintain a clean and compliant work area.
• Inventory: Manage lab supplies and organize by plant; assist with receiving.
• Autoclave Operation: Load/unload and operate autoclave for sterilization of media and glassware.
