Responsibilities

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.

• Maintain media and reagents for daily microbiological testing.
• Inventory and report expendable supplies/materials needed for testing requirements.
• Provide routine preventive maintenance by daily cleaning, sanitizing, and trash disposal.
• Perform quality control monitoring by taking incubator temperatures, inoculating control organisms, and running media controls.
• Independently pursue assigned processes and procedures per policies and customer requirements.
• Maintain laboratory conditions, equipment, supplies, and accurate records.
• Perform activities in a neat, safe, hygienic, and efficient manner.
• Share information in an open and timely manner.

As a Microbiology Lab Technician, you will be responsible for conducting analytical and microbiological testing of food products, ingredients, and environmental samples. This role involves the application of approved microbiological techniques and methodologies to ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Prepare samples for indicator organisms, pathogens, and chemistries.

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday to Friday, from 4pm to 12:30am. The role offers opportunities for learning and advancement within the organization. The company promotes employees internally at both local and national levels. Pay begins at $19.50/hour with potential flexibility based on experience. (Disregard where it says $18).

Pay And Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
