CLS Labcorp Central Laboratory Services Limited Partnership in Indianapolis, IN is seeking a Medical Laboratory Scientist II to join our Microbiology team. Work schedule is Monday-Friday with options for early hours and weekend rotation.

The role focuses on quality control, SOP adherence, proficiency testing, staff training and method validations, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, documentation and teamwork within a clinical laboratory setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science, Medical Technology or a non-traditional Bachelor’s degree that meets local regulatory (CLIA & State) requirements.
• Three years of clinical laboratory testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Quality Control Monitoring Programs: review and investigate unacceptable results and prepare corrective action responses.
• SOPs: review new or revised SOPs and assist with processing.
• Proficiency Testing: coordinate receipt of survey material and ensure timely completion of reports; investigate root cause of performance issues.
• Training: assist with training new employees and develop training material and competency checks.
• Validation: assist with assay validations and validation of equipment and software; provide technical guidance.
