Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in medical laboratory science or related field.
• ASCP certification or equivalent.
• Six years of progressive clinical technologist experience including leadership.
• Experience with wet bench procedures and instrumentation.
• Knowledge of CAP proficiency, accreditation guidelines, and quality management.
• Strong track record in change management and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical and administrative leadership to the Microbiology Lab.
• Set lab goals with faculty and leadership; drive performance and innovation.
• Oversee staffing, training, scheduling, and credentialing of staff.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory bodies and accreditation requirements.
• Manage equipment selection, contracts, and preventive maintenance.
• Develop educational tools and QA/QI programs for continuous improvement.
• Collaborate across divisions and with Medical Directors on operations.
