Qualifications

• HS graduate or GED CLIA Section 493.1421 requirements.
• Specialized knowledge: computer literacy and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepares, labels, and sends specimens as directed by procedures.
• Performs waived and moderate complexity testing under CLIA.
• Receives and logs specimens from nursing units and departments.
• Transports specimens between processing areas and laboratories.
• Maintains instruments and assists in maintenance of lab equipment.
• Completes mandatory competencies and training modules.
