Job summary

Mars Petcare is seeking a Microbiology Analyst to perform microbiological assays in the Regional Analytical Laboratory. You will analyze raw materials, environmental samples, stability samples and finished products, while upholding lab safety, chemical hygiene and quality programs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in microbiology with 2+ years of PCR experience and familiarity with FDA BAM methodologies. You will work Tuesday-Saturday 8:30 AM to 5 PM, with weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in microbiology or related science with 2+ years' PCR experience.
Knowledge of FDA BAM testing methodologies.
Strong organizational skills to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Experience with MS Excel, ELN, and LIMS.

Responsibilities

Develop programs in support of product development, stability, food quality and safety and other business functions.
Maintain documentation of microbiological results and testing traceability in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
Ensure documentation and records are according to Regional Lab Quality Management System and the standard aligns to Key Supporting Competencies.
Master the key scientific principles associated with Microbiological assays.
Work as a team player including open and honest communication, respecting confidentiality with any laboratory information.
