SGS, the world's leading testing, inspection and certification company, is seeking a Microbiologist II to join our New Jersey team to conduct a variety of microbiology analyses and ensure studies comply with GMP/GLP/ISO and client specifications. The candidate will train staff and participate in SOP approvals.
Responsibilities include media prep, analyses per USP/EP/ASTM/AOAC/FDA, scheduling to meet deadlines, maintaining notebooks and LIMS, and upholding cGMP standards while mentoring junior

The Microbiologist II will conduct a variety of specific test methods, and as study director is responsible for conducting all studies both according to applicable standards and regulations (GMP/GLP/ISO) and according to clients' specifications. Microbiologist II also plays a key role within the department by helping to train incoming staff and by participating in the approval process for SOPs/protocols.
