Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in microbiology, biology, or related field or equivalent experience.
• 6 months to 3 years of pharma microbiology lab experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cGMP/GLP/GDP and USP/EU regulatory requirements preferred.
• Experience performing microbiological testing and environmental monitoring using aseptic techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Qualified to work with controlled substances.
• Knowledge and experience with serial dilutions preferred.
• Handling biohazardous materials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Test raw materials, finished products, stability program batches and research/validation batches.
• Adhere to SOPs and regulatory requirements such as GMPs, GDPs, GLPs and OSHA regulations.
• Perform microbiological testing for MET/SMT, AET, PET, and purified water testing per USP.
• Environmental Monitoring (EM) and Water Activity Determination per USP.
• Receive and release media, buffers, and microorganism cultures; maintain inventories.
• Review daily temperature readings and sanitize lab spaces and equipment.
