Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 25 semester hours in microbiology and physical sciences including a microbiology course and 16 semester hours in chemistry.
• Three years of employment in a microbiology laboratory, including one year of supervisory experience.
• Valid driver's license and satisfactory background checks.

Responsibilities

• Perform microbiological analyses of poultry and non-poultry specimens.
• Maintain quality assurance measures to ensure methods are under control.
• Operate a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) for data entry.
• Prepare media and reagents; maintain laboratory equipment and instrumentation.
• Analyze test results and assist in regulatory administration; may testify if required.
