Job summary

LNK International, Inc. is seeking a microbiologist to join our laboratory team in Hauppauge, NY. You will perform media prep, environmental monitoring, microbial testing, and reports to support our OTC pharmaceutical manufacturing.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree with pharma experience and excellent English communication skills. This full-time, on-site role offers health benefits and opportunities in a leading manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform Media Preparation with growth promotion.
• Maintain weekly stock cultures for positive controls.
• Perform Water testing using the Water filtration method.
• Carry out general micro lab duties and housekeeping.
• Calibrate and maintain equipment monthly.
• Perform Environmental Monitoring of micro lab zones.
• Sterilize biohazardous material via autoclave cycles.
• Run microbial limits testing on finished products (solids and liquids).
• Conduct Antimicrobial Effectiveness testing on liquids.
• Prepare final reports and investigate out-of-spec results.
• Write and review laboratory procedures and ensure USP alignment.
• Monitor laboratory testing and review colleagues’ work.
• Test microbes on active ingredients and raw materials using USP/In‑House methods.

Job Description

• Perform Media Preparation with growth promotion.
• Maintain stock cultures weekly in the lab for positive controls.
• Perform Water testing using the Water filtration method
• Perform general micro lab duties and housekeeping including glassware cleaning and preparation.
• Perform calibration and monthly maintenance of different equipment.
• Perform Environmental Monitoring of all zones of the micro lab.
• Sterilize biohazardous material by running autoclave cycles.
• Perform Microbial limits on solid and liquid finished products at LNK International, Inc
• Perform Antimicrobial Effectiveness testing on Liquid Products.
• Prepare final reports.
• Conduct and write Investigation reports for Out of Specification results.
• Writing/ reviewing procedures.
• Perform Microbial identification as per procedures.
• Checking USP for any change in specification and/ or procedure.
• Monitoring the microbiology laboratory testing and reviewing of other microbiologist(s) work.
• Perform microbial testing on active and excipients of raw materials using USP/In-House method.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.
• Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the pharmaceutical field.
• Excellent communications and presentation skills - written and verbal; fluent in English.
