Job description

The micro mechanical assembler is an important part of the daily operations of the organization. The micro mechanical assembler will bind and assemble small wires and parts to ensure adequate connections and resistance for specific parts. Tasks are accomplished with the aid of a microscope.

  • Perform micro assembly and bridge wire testing under a microscope.
  • Use visual aids, drawings, verbal, and written instructions, to perform micro assembly and bridge wire weld operations under a microscope.
  • Perform occasional minor set-up capability for specific equipment.
  • Set up workstation per materials specified by the work instruction.
  • Perform wire tensile strength tests.
  • Pre-form wire under a microscope.
  • Perform a pull test under a microscope to verify weld strength.
  • Set up micro assembly and bridge wire testing fixture and equipment.
  • Perform visual inspections under the microscope to determine quality of welds.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Must display competent dexterity to insure safe handling of explosive devices.
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow written work instructions.
  • Must display competent dexterity to handle and work on small assemblies under the microscope.
  • Basic hand tool knowledge (tweezers, pliers, etc.).
  • Basic measuring equipment knowledge (ohm meter, go/no-go gages, force gage, etc.).

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Basic math skills.

Pay Range

The hourly salary range for this position is 15.70-29
