Job summary

Ahlstrom Windsor Locks Plant in Windsor Locks, CT seeks a Micrex Operator 554 to run the micrex/embossing line, ensure quality and maintain a safe, clean work area. You will set up, thread, adjust settings, and monitor the process to meet production targets.

This full-time role requires basic math, reading/writing English, and at least one year of Operator/Helper experience, plus leadership ability and the capacity to work with minimal supervision in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and basic math skills.
• Reading and writing English.
• One year of experience as Operator/Helper.
• Must have leadership skills and be able to work with minimal supervision.
• Must be computer literate.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate and control the micrex/embossing process.
• Meet production and quality standards.
• Read, understand and follow Process Maps, work instructions, slitting instructions, customer item directory, QA dispositions, inventory identification tickets and any other instructions.
• Report mechanical defects or malfunctions to supervision and submit work orders as needed.
• Maintain safety, housekeeping and proper handling of materials in the work area.
