What to Expect (Job Responsibilities):
- Log in to helpline applications and accept incoming calls, chats, and texts
- Support callers in developing coping skills and wellness plans
- Connect callers to the MiCAL crisis line as needed
- Provide information on various resources such as shelters, food pantries, and mental health services
- Document each encounter while on call and communicate with the Shift Supervisor and MiCAL staff

What is Required (Qualifications):
- Permanent year-round residency in Michigan
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- MDHHS Certified Peer Support Specialist
- Minimum of 1 year paid work experience as an MDHHS Peer Support Specialist
- Access to high-speed internet on a private network and a HIPAA-compliant dedicated office space
