Job summary

Starlite Building Services is seeking a Project Accountant in Miami to manage project budgets, billing, and subcontractor compliance. You will set up budgets in CMiC, maintain rate tables, and lead owner billing while supporting collections and audits.

Responsibilities include reviewing invoices, cost reallocations, and preparing WIP entries; collaborating with vendors and AP to resolve discrepancies; and contributing to project revenue projections and risk/opportunity analyses.

Qualifications

• Experience: 2+ years in project accounting or project administration.
• Bachelor's degree preferred, or commensurate experience.
• Some working knowledge of AIA billing and subcontractor compliance.
• Construction industry experience preferred - GC or subcontractor.
• CMiC & Textura experience preferred but not required.
• Strong working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Set up project budget within CMiC to ensure accuracy and alignment with contract.
• Establish and maintain job-specific rate tables per contract.
• Lead owner billing process: prepare, review, post, and maintain billing trackers.
• Support collection efforts to receive payments within contract terms.
• Ensure subcontractor compliance, including insurance and lien waivers.
• Manage subcontractor payment processes and respond to inquiries.
• Review, approve, and cost-code invoices; process cost reallocations.
• Collaborate with vendors and Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies.
• Review monthly Cost-to-Complete (CTC) reports and explain gross profit fluctuations.
• Provide support for internal and external audits.
• Attend project meetings as needed.
• Prepare project WIP entries and R&O analysis.
• Support teams with project revenue projections and align with performance.
