Position: Registered Nurse (RN) - Intensive Care Unit(ICU)

Start Date: 7/7/2025

Duration: 13 Weeks

Location: Bay City, MI, 48108

Shift Type/Shift Times/Hours/Day: Nights, 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, 12

Shift Notes: 36 hours guaranteed

Weekend Requirements: Includes weekends and holidays

On-Call Requirements: None

COVID Vaccination: na

Travel Policy: Candidates' Permanent Address (Facility will not consider local candidates - 35-mile radius restriction)

Dress Code - Navy Blue

Collaborates with the physician to provide a plan of care that will return the patient to optimal health. Provides bedside nursing care and carries out medical orders. Delegate to and oversee Nurse Assistant, Patient Care Associate, OB Care Associate, Surgical Service Assistant, Nursing Clerk, and Psychiatric Tech functions. Responsible for evaluating the effectiveness of the care plan.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities

• Assumes responsibility for a leadership role encompassing:
• Integrating evidence-based knowledge into practice.
• Delegation and coordination of tasks and assignments of nursing care.
• Facilitates/participates in patient conferences.
• Identifies and provides the means to meet patients’ ongoing and discharge/transfer teaching needs by communicating with the appropriate resource persons and attending discharge/transfer planning conferences.
• Assumes the responsibility for professional growth by seeking out educational opportunities and utilizing programs in the hospital or elsewhere in the community.
• Teach and/or guide professional and ancillary personnel.
• Precept/mentor new employees and students.
• Functions as a team leader to ensure proper patient placement and delegation of assignments.
• Communicates relevant information in a manner that is understandable and effective.
• Shows organizational skills through effective planning.
