Responsibilities

• Site inspections—checking doors, buildings, and birds.
• Problem solving alarms.
• Prepping buildings for movements and vaccinations (disinfecting ladders, setting up disinfecting footbaths & bleach sprayer, helping to lock up birds).
• Picking up floor birds.
• Pouring water in buildings to maintain humidity in chick houses.
• Snow removal and salting.
• Mixing disinfectants for footbaths, tires baths, testing and refilling.
• Cleaning when no cleaning team is present.
• Run limited equipment as assigned.
• Perform daily/weekly calendar cleaning as assigned by management and/or supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Salary Range: $18.00 To $19.00 Hourly

Qualifications:

• Ability to work a flexible schedule as needed to include weekends and holidays.
• Basic understanding of animal welfare and maintaining Herbruck’s standard of care.
• No contact with birds, swine, or cattle.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to perform essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodations.
• Working in an environment with live animals which can be dusty, dirty, and seasonally hot or cold.
• Ability to remain standing and/or walking for extended periods of time on concrete floors.
• Ability to stoop, bend, climb and lift at least 25 pounds. continuously throughout the day and 50 pounds occasionally.
