POSITION SUMMARY

The security guard at Freedom Behavioral Lake Charles plays a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Working under the supervision of the Environment of Care Director, this position helps support the overall safety and daily operations of the facility while maintaining a strong and professional security presence throughout the hospital.

In this role, the Security Guard conducts routine patrols of the facility and grounds, helps enforce safety procedures, responds quickly to emergencies, and uses de-escalation and conflict resolution techniques to calmly manage difficult situations. This position also works closely with staff to ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for everyone within the facility.

The ideal candidate is dependable, observant, professional, and passionate about protecting others while making a positive impact each day.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

• Education: High school diploma/GED required
• License: None.
• Experience: Experienced in law enforcement, jail/prison security, or private security guard preferred.
