Job summary

Universal Health Services in Portland, OR is seeking a Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician. You will observe, escort, and monitor patients, report observations to the Registered Nurse, and provide basic nursing care under the direction of the RN.

• Current AHA BLS CPR certification.

Responsibilities

The Night Shift PRN Mental Health Technician:

• observes, escorts, and monitors patients
• reports observations to the Registered Nurse
• provides basic nursing care under the direction of the Registered Nurse
• assists patients with activities of daily living; assists in the maintenance of a safe, secure, and clean environment
• engages patients in positive role models recovery-oriented behaviors

PRNs are required to work 4 shifts per month minimum.

Qualifications

Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

Experience: Knowledge of behavior management strategies required to provide care for persons with psychiatric and/or substance use disorders, knowledge of approved techniques to assist patients with ambulation and self-care preferred. Must be able to read, understand, and follow policies, procedures, and written treatment plans.

Must have current AHA BLS CPR
