Here at Holman, our MHE Operators are key advocates for our employees and proponents of our company culture. They are directly responsible for local driving a lift truck and transporting materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas. Their value is in their ability to perform work accurately and thoroughly. We rely on them for their ability to work independently with minimal supervision and their ability to maintain a level of production that meets or exceeds the established guidelines, as well as their desire to grow and develop themselves and other employees.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Performs all duties in conformance to appropriate safety and security standards.
  • Operates a lift truck by driving backwards and twisting to be able to look in the direction of travel on a continual basis.
  • Operates a lift truck all shift.
  • Performs routine inspections and preventative maintenance on vehicles and auxiliary equipment, such as cleaning or recharging batteries, and refers defects or repairs to supervisor/maintenance.
  • Moves controls to drive lift trucks and transport materials between loading, unloading, processing, and storage areas.
  • Moves levers and controls that operate lifting devices, such as forklifts, lift beams and swivel-hooks, hoists, and elevating platforms, to load, unload, transport, and stack material.
  • Positions lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, and boxes, and secures material or products for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually loads or unloads materials onto or off pallets, skids, platforms, or lifting devices.
  • Reliable attendance for scheduled shifts.
  • Performs all other duties as assigned or needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
  • Experience: One (1) to two (2) years related experience in a warehouse environment.
  • Computer Skills: Basic scanner technology.
