Amerit Fleet Solutions in Tukwila, WA is seeking a skilled Material Handling Equipment (MHE) Technician/Mechanic to maintain and repair forklifts, pallet jacks, and related equipment. The role focuses on preventive maintenance, diagnostics, and timely repairs to keep operations safe and efficient.

The ideal candidate has 4+ years of hands-on MHE experience, knowledge of diesel engines and A/C systems, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ hands-on experience in material handling equipment maintenance and repair.
• Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills on diesel engines, brakes, tires, A/C systems, and MHE.
• Solid knowledge of forklifts, pallet jacks and similar units.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to own your tools.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team; meet physical demands.
• DOT physical may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance and timely repairs on MHE equipment (forklifts, stand-up lifts, walk-behind lifts, pallet jacks).
• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and related systems on MHE.
• Conduct diesel engine diagnostics, brake repairs, tire service, A/C repairs, and PM services.
• Ensure equipment meets safety and compliance standards and document repairs.
• Maintain clean work area and organize tools; complete work orders.
• Collaborate with supervisors to minimize downtime.
