Job summary

Aurex is seeking a Military GPS User Equipment Systems Engineer to join our team in supporting the U.S. Air Force with MGUE development, integration, security, and verification.

You will collaborate with government customers, FFRDCs, and industry partners to develop test strategies, evaluate performance, and ensure secure, mission-ready GPS capabilities. Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 7+ years in Systems/Integration/Test engineering for DoD programs.
  • 5+ years developing or reviewing test plans, procedures, and verification strategies.
  • 5+ years supporting DoD integration and test activities.
  • 5+ years cryptography, information assurance, or secure systems engineering.
  • Experience with white box and black box testing methodologies.
  • Knowledge of military GPS, PNT, and GPS receiver architectures.
  • Ability to interpret ICDs and TRDs.
  • Knowledge of security protocols and secure systems engineering.
  • Experience communicating with government customers and vendors.

Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering activities supporting MGUE development and integration.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies, plans, procedures, and reports.
  • Map system requirements to verification methods and acceptance criteria.
  • Support integration, verification, and validation of GPS receiver hardware/software.
  • Participate in white/black box testing to verify security and performance.
  • Evaluate cryptographic implementations and information assurance requirements.
  • Provide security impact assessments and technical recommendations.
  • Review GPS ICDs, TRDs, and engineering specs.
  • Monitor test execution and identify technical risks with corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with government customers, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
