Job summary

ACH Food Companies, Inc. is hiring a Sr Corporate Quality Manager in Oak Brook Terrace, IL. You will lead food safety and quality systems, auditing vendors, managing consumer affairs, and guiding regulatory compliance for US and international markets.

You will also drive product quality improvements, support New Product Development, and oversee CAPA, KPI, and recalls while coordinating with plant management and contract manufacturers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, chemical engineering, or related field required; Master’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in the food industry with food safety and quality systems, including 2 years auditing experience.
• Knowledge of US and International Regulations including FDA, USDA, and CFIA.
• Strong leadership and business acumen with strategic thinking, problem solving and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Oversee corporate food safety and quality systems (FSMA, HARPC, GMPs) and drive compliance across sites.
• Audit and approve production facilities, distribution centers, contract manufacturers, and supplier audits.
• Lead management of the specification system, CAPA, KPI, and consumer affairs training.
• Maintain SAP-QM/ERP systems and ensure accurate recalls, communications, and regulatory reporting.
• Collaborate with plant management, quality, and other functions to improve product quality and cost-efficiency.
• Support New Product Development and ensure regulatory compliance (FDA/USDA/CFIA).
• Provide SQF support and GFSI scheme guidance to contract manufacturers.

The Role:

The Sr. Corporate Quality Manager will assess the corporate food safety and quality systems to ensure that consistent, high standards are in place for all ACH products and production sites. This role will work closely with plant management and quality. They will audit and approve vendors, manage consumer affairs, work with co-manufacturers, and facilitate New Product Development. In addition to the quality role, they will manage the regulatory function and ensure compliance with all relevant government regulations. The position also improves product quality and helps to reduce the business risk associated with food safety and product quality issues. On top of that this role works closely with the plant and other functional areas to support cost improvements, simplification and harmonization of specifications and support of business continuity plans across all categories.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for the corporate food safety and quality systems. Examples, but not limited to FSMA, HARPC, Weight Control, Food Safety, Security, GMP, Quality compliance.
• Audits and enhances production facility programs and distribution centers for safety, quality and compliance.
• Audits and approves contract manufacturers and provides auditing support to the vendor team with ingredients and packaging supplier audits.
• Manages specification system and ensures accuracy.
• Coordinates company-wide efforts regarding recalls and manages communications.
• Manages CAPA and KPI.
• Proficient in sanitation programs.
• Provides SQF support as necessary to the ACH manufacturing locations and GFSI scheme support to contract manufacturers.
• Manages consumer affairs training and compliance.
• Monitor’s consumer and customer complaints to identify trends and key drivers. Works with appropriate groups to ensure corrective actions are in place to address the identified issues and track progress.
• Maintains SAP-QM or ERP system for all products and businesses.
• Interacts with external quality auditors, Labs, COA, Regulatory Agency, Kosher councils, customer, and consumer
• Participates in NPD project teams and assist with claims, contract manufactures, micro/analytical requirements, and safety of new products.
• Conduct product evaluations.
• Identifies opportunities to enhance the effectiveness of the quality function.
• Responsible for compliance with all US and International Regulations including FDA, USDA, and CFIA.

What You’ll Need:

• Bachelor’s degree in food science, Chemical Engineering, or related field. Master’s degree preferred.

Salary Range:

Starting Salary Range: $167,000-$201,200. The pay range listed represents the target hiring range for this position; however, the actual base pay offered to the best talent and fit for the posted role will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job‑related knowledge, qualifications and skills, relevant experience, geographical location and internal equity. Future compensation decisions for employees in this role will utilize the full pay range, not solely the typical hiring range.

Compensation is adjusted based on the candidate’s local labor market and may vary within this range.
