Ameriprise Financial in Minneapolis is seeking an Operations Team Leader to oversee processing, service and administration of complex workflows within Operations. You will coach a dedicated team, drive process improvements, ensure compliance, and report on performance against quality metrics.

You will collaborate with internal and external partners, manage risk, and guide projects as a subject matter expert. In-office collaboration is valued with a hybrid/work-from-home arrangement.

Provide coaching, development and support to team to ensure timely and accurate execution of daily functions, while meeting all compliance and regulatory requirements. Drive implementation of process improvements ensuring all processes and procedures are appropriately documented. Lead and/or participate in projects, serving as a subject matter expert as appropriate.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide leadership and coaching to direct reports, including providing work direction and support to team on process, procedures and escalated issues. Develop methods to measure and report on department performance, ensuring resources are properly allocated and workload is managed to meet all accuracy, transactional processing, quality metrics and standards, and compliance and regulatory requirements.Drive and implement process improvements, proactively identifying and resolving business issues to improve efficiencies and increase operational effectiveness. Provide oversight of policies and procedures, ensuring all procedures are appropriately documented and reviewed to meet compliance and regulatory requirements. Work with internal and external business partners to effectively identify and minimize risk.Lead and/or participate as a subject matter expert in projects and business driven initiatives within team and across Operations, as appropriate.Provide effective people leadership through effective coaching, feedback and sound performance management practices. Act as champion for the team and intervene on matters that create roadblocks to individual or organizational success. Set department initiatives and aligns and sets individual performance goals.Flexibility to occasionally work prior to market open, as dictated by the needs of the business.Required QualificationsEducation: High school or GEDExperience: 5-7 years of relevant experience.*Post-secondary education and relevant work experience may be interchanged to meet the combined total years of minimum required qualifications foreducation and experience.Extensive experience working in operations, processing or customer service team.Strong working knowledge of Operations processes, policies, techniques, and applicable regulations.Proven ability to work effectively with internal and external partners at all levels.Demonstrated people leadership experience.Strong communication skills, including ability to explain complex issues in an understandable manner.Preferred QualificationsEducation: Bachelors degree or equivalent (4-years)Visa SponsorshipApplicants must have a valid work authorization that does not now, or in the future, require visa sponsorship for employment in the United States (e.g., H-1B, F-1 CPT, F-1 OPT, TN).In-Office CollaborationWe are a client-centric, relationship-based business. We have a pay-for-performance compensation philosophy. Your initial total compensation may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographical work location. In addition, most of our roles are eligible for variable pay in the form of bonus, commissions, and/or long-term incentives depending on the role.
