Job Description: Mgr, Forestry Procurement Req Id: 11516 Job Location: Hayward Posting Start Date: 4/24/25 Work Environment: Onsite

Job Purpose

Ensure an optimal supply of quality raw materials for internal customers by developing strategic plans to optimize resource availability at the lowest possible cost.

Opportunities in this position include:
  • Compiling, analyzing, and forecasting costs, receipts, and inventory trends
  • Recording and analyzing timber value and cost data
  • Overseeing procurement and delivery activities in Hayward, Wisconsin
  • Monitoring and evaluating supplier services
  • Planning and managing budgets
  • Performing duties in accordance with safety regulations
  • Performing additional duties as needed
Success factors for this role:
  • At least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • At least 5 years of forestry experience
  • Equivalent experience and training demonstrating ability to perform responsibilities
  • Knowledge of regional and seasonal variations in wood products
  • Understanding of target markets and trends
  • Thorough knowledge of company products
  • Strong supervisory skills
  • Ability to read financial statements
  • Ability to estimate log volumes and recognize log value differences
  • Proficiency with computers and relevant software
Education requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or equivalent experience
  • Valid driver’s license
