Job summary

INTEGRIS Health in Oklahoma City is seeking a Manager, Caregiver Safety to lead safety initiatives and investigate caregiver safety events across the network. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in patient and caregiver safety.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and a Master’s degree preferred, 5 years of healthcare experience, and strong project management and data analysis skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field is required.
• Master’s degree preferred in nursing, engineering, business or healthcare administration.
• 5 years of recent healthcare experience required.
• Experience in patient or caregiver safety, risk management, or quality improvement preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of quality improvement processes and data analysis.

Responsibilities

• Investigate, review, and analyze caregiver safety events and dispositions.
• Facilitate cause analysis of actual or near-miss events.
• Lead projects and teams to improve caregiver safety.
• Aggregate and analyze data for regular safety reports.
• Contribute to development of caregiver safety program activities.
• Develop education for caregivers, providers, and leaders on safety.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word, EPIC, Visio for safety reports.
• Support disaster response readiness and safety-related requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree: Nursing, Engineering, Quality Management, Business Management, or Healthcare related field is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing, Engineering, Business, Healthcare Administration or Clinical Specialty preferred.
• 5 years recent experience in a healthcare setting required.
• Experience in patient or caregiver safety, risk management, quality improvement, professional development, consultation, or leadership in a healthcare setting preferred.
• Previous leadership experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of quality improvement processes and data analysis preferred.
• Strong project management skills, with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, prioritize tasks, and manage project timelines effectively.

Other Requirements:

• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to interact effectively with technical and non-technical audiences.

Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written).

Responsibilities

The Manager Caregiver Safety responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Performs the investigation, review, analysis, and disposition of caregiver safety events though the event review structure. Patient records may be reviewed for caregiver safety improvement projects, which may include but not be limited to audits, performance improvement, and work group initiatives.
• Facilitates cause analysis of actual or near miss events throughout the organization.
• Facilitates projects/project teams designed to improve caregiver safety.
• Aggregates and analyzes data for preparation of regular reports; identifies opportunities to improve patient safety; identifies trends and patterns related to near miss and actual events.
• Participates and contributes to development of caregiver safety program activities (ie safety rounds, recognition and reward programs, safety campaigns).
• Provides professional assistance for identification, development and implementation of initiatives that promote safety and quality across the institution.
• Develops and provides education to caregivers, providers, leaders, and other key stakeholders to support the culture of safety.
• Proficient in various software systems such as, Excel, Power Point, Word, EPIC, Visio; able to design and develop necessary safety reports.

• This position is subject to being called upon, at any time, for response to disaster calls at any facility within the INTEGRIS Health, which may or may not include potential exposures to chemical, biological, and/or radiological agents.
