Mass General Brigham is seeking a Unit Coordinator for Phillips House 22, a 19-bed unit focusing on Gynecology Oncology and General Surgery. You will support clinicians and staff, coordinating patient flow with nursing and handling admissions, discharges, and transfers while maintaining confidential information.
This role does not involve direct patient care. Schedule includes 24 hours weekly with rotating day and night shifts on Tue, Wed, Thu, onsite at 267 Charles Street.
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Days (7am-3:30pm, 7am-7:30pm) and Nights (7p-7:30am, 11pm-7:30am) 2x shifts or 3x shifts per week Rotating Holiday schedule No weekends, except for required Day shift training Phillips 22 is seeking a medical professional to works as a Unit Coordinator, and who has availability to work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday on the days and nights shift. Phillips House 22 is an 19-bed adult unit specializing in Gynecology Oncology and General Surgery. The Department of Obstetrics & Gynecology at Mass General consistently ranks among the best women's health care providers in the country, offering innovative treatments from leading experts in obstetrics, gynecology, infertility, cancer, and urogynecology. Ideal applicant should be able to work of all the weekdays indicated on the days and night shift to be considered for an interview. Applicant will not be scheduled for 16-hour shifts in this position.
Provides administrative support to unit-based and hospital-wide clinicians and staff in an inpatient unit, functioning as the liaison between the patient, visitors and the clinicians. Expected to effectively organize priorities, complete tasks on time and to manage confidential patient information. Responsible for partnering with nursing to coordinate the day-to-day patient flow including communication to key players regarding patient admissions, discharges and transfers. Also expected to provide outstanding services for every customer interaction. Actual job duties may vary by department. This position does not require Patient Care.
