Job summary

Rheem in Montgomery, AL seeks a Machine Operator II to support the Water Heating division. You will operate PLCs, use HMI for material planning, load materials, orient tanks, and perform routine maintenance and changeovers. You’ll work from written or verbal instructions and must meet safety guidelines.

Expect physical tasks including lifting and standing for shifts, with a focus on quality and efficiency in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Candidates must be able to lift 5–60 lbs repeatedly as described.
• Ability to follow written or verbal instructions and observe safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor PLC systems in a manufacturing environment.
• Use HMI to adjust material requirements information.
• Load materials from floor and bins manually.
• Orient tanks and perform assembly tasks as needed.
• Handle changeovers and minor equipment adjustments.
• Assist maintenance with major repairs and routine preventative maintenance.

Job description

The Machine Operator II will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

Responsibilities

• Will be required to operate/monitor a PLC.
• Will be required to use a Human/Machine Interface (HMI) to adjust material requirements information.
• Will be required to manually load materials from floor and part bins.
• Will be required to orient tanks.
• Will be required to perform other assembly tasks as needed.
• Will be required to perform change over and make minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Will be required to make minor adjustments, set ups and assist maintenance with major repairs to equipment.
• Will be required to perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Will be required to maintain quality standards established for the process in accordance to specifications.
• Must be able to work from written or verbal instructions.
• Must observe all departmental safety requirements.
• May be exposed to high noise levels, fumes and airborne particles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
