Job summary

Rheem Manufacturing in Montgomery, AL is seeking a Machine Operator II to support our Water Heating Division. You will operate/monitor PLCs, use an HMI to adjust material requirements, load materials, orient tanks, and perform various assembly tasks.

The role requires lifting, standing, and following written or verbal instructions while maintaining safety and quality standards. Team-oriented environment with maintenance support and routine preventive maintenance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift 5–25 lbs continuously, 25–60 lbs frequently, and 60+ lbs occasionally.
• Continuous standing, bending, walking and repetitive lifting.

Responsibilities

• Operate/monitor a PLC.
• Use an HMI to adjust material requirements information.
• Load materials from floor and part bins.
• Orient tanks.
• Perform assembly tasks as needed.
• Perform changeovers and minor equipment adjustments.
• Support maintenance with major repairs and perform routine preventive maintenance.
• Maintain quality standards per specifications.
• Follow written or verbal instructions and observe safety requirements.
• May be exposed to high noise, fumes and airborne particles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Will be required to operate/monitor a PLC.
• Will be required to use a Human/Machine Interface (HMI) to adjust material requirements information.
• Will be required to manually load materials from floor and part bins.
• Will be required to orient tanks.
• Will be required to perform other assembly tasks as needed.
• Will be required to perform change over and make minor adjustments to equipment as needed.
• Will be required to make minor adjustments, set ups and assist maintenance with major repairs to equipment.
• Will be required to perform routine preventative maintenance.
• Will be required to maintain quality standards established for the process in accordance to specifications.
• Must be able to work from written or verbal instructions.
• Must observe all departmental safety requirements.
• May be exposed to high noise levels, fumes and airborne particles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
