Job summary

Rheem seeks a Die Setter for its Water Heating Division in Montgomery, AL. You will prepare dies, set up presses, and maintain tooling to meet specifications.

Expect to read drawings, interpret gauges, and perform required repairs while upholding safety standards and team collaboration in a manufacturing setting.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and interpret specifications, sketches and drawings.
• Must be able to lift 5–60 lbs repeatedly and stand for long periods.
• Able to interpret gauges, verniers and other measuring tools.
• Adhere to departmental safety requirements and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Operate presses to remove and set dies in presses, press brakes and power presses.
• Interpret specifications, sketches and drawings to set dies within tolerances.
• Inspect dies and equipment for defects and perform required repairs.
• Set up new dies and tool designs using gauges and measuring tools.
• Observe all safety requirements and Rheem values.
• May be exposed to heat, noise, dust and airborne particles.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Die Setter will serve our Water Heating Division, located in Montgomery, AL.

Responsibilities

• Must be able to properly use tools and equipment to remove and set dies in presses, press brakes, and power presses.
• Must be able to correctly interpret specifications, sketches, and drawings to ensure dies are adjusted within appropriate tolerances for normal use.
• Will be responsible for making necessary checks on die equipment, attend to their proper care, and perform required repairs.
• Must be able to use new dies, set-up new tool designs using proper gauges, verniers, and/or other standard measuring equipment.
• Observe all departmental safety requirements.
• Inspect units or parts for defects and workmanship.
• Work from written or verbal orders.
• Practice and support Rheem values with internal as well as external customers.
• May be exposed to high noise levels, heat, dust and airborne particles.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED.
• Must be able to add, subtract, divide & multiply fractions and decimals.
• Continuous lifting of 5-25 lbs.
• Frequent lifting of 25-60 lbs.
• Occasional lifting of 60+ lbs.
• Frequent strain due to position, unsupported lifting.
• Must be able to stand, walk and/or lift repetitively during shift.
• Must be able to frequently lift in unsupported positions as well as bend, twist/turn, reach, push/pull.
• Must have vision skills acceptable for a lift truck license and the motor skills/climbing ability to safety board/operate the equipment.
