Job summary

Southcoast Health System is seeking a talented MFM Ultrasound Senior Technologist in New Bedford, MA. This role supports the New Maternal Fetal Medicine Practice with a 40-hour Day shift (8:00am–4:30pm) and offers a $10,000 new hire sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.

Responsibilities include coordinating daily modality operations under the Interventional Radiology Clinical Services supervisor and performing OB/GYN ultrasound procedures with ARDMS certification.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program and ARDMS certification in OBGYN.
• BLS certification is required.
• Minimum of two years of Maternal Fetal Medicine experience.
• NT (Nuchal Translucency) certification required within 6 months.
• ARDMS registration is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily operations of assigned modality personnel under the Interventional Radiology Clinical Services supervisor.
• Perform patient procedures as part of daily duties according to performance standards.
• Ensure compliance with vaccination requirements and internal policies.

Hours: 40hrs

Shift: Day shift, 8:00am - 4:30pm

Under the direction of the Manager, Interventional Radiology Clinical Services or designee, perform diversified duties involving coordinating the daily operations, equipment and activities of assigned modality personnel. Responsible to perform patient procedures as part of daily duties including the essential functions and performance standards of assigned staff.

• Successful completion of an accredited program in Diagnostic Medical Sonography and attainments of certification from the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers in OBGYN.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is also required.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in Maternal Fetal Medicine is required
• NT (Nuchal Transclucency) certification is required withing 6 months.
• A Bachelors Degree is preferred.
• Registration with the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (ARDMS) is required.
• Must be fully vaccinated against seasonal Influenza and the COVID 19 virus or to be exempt from the requirement for medical or personal reasons by signing a statement certifying you are choosing to be exempt from vaccination once hired

Compensation: Pay rate will be determined based on level of experience.
