Join the mission to support U.S. military service members and their families as they work through important military life adjustments while serving their country. The Military and Family Life Counselor Mission Ready Reserve (MRR) position offers a unique opportunity to serve a vital role, providing non‑medical support—counseling, consultation, and outreach—to our nation's military children and families. Non‑medical counseling is preventive in nature and aims to address and provide solution‑focused approaches to issues before they become greater challenges.
This posting is for our Mission Ready Reserve team. Candidates must be flexible to pick up shifts locally with potential to travel for short‑term coverage. These roles are as needed, with durations ranging from 2‑3 months or 6‑9 months.
Under the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), licensed Military and Family Life Counselors may provide non‑medical counseling services to military families at any U.S. state, the District of Columbia, or U.S. territories, regardless of the state where the counselor is licensed. Within the MFLC program, any independent and clinical license recognized by the Secretary of Defense for non‑medical counseling services is acceptable.
