Job summary

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking a MFL (Magnetic Flux Leakage) Technician with UT Level II to join our Frederick, CO team.

You will set up, calibrate, and operate MFL inspection equipment on pipelines, tanks, and other metal structures, and you will interpret data to assess defects, under strict safety protocols. This full-time role requires at least two years as an MFL Technician, MFL certification and UT‑T, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years as MFL Technician.
• Minimum of MFL certification and UT‑T.
• TWIC Card preferred
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Set up, calibrate, and operate MFL inspection equipment according to procedures.
• Conduct inspections on pipelines, tanks, and other metal structures to identify defects.
• Interpret and analyze MFL data to determine presence and severity of anomalies.
• Prepare inspection reports and communicate findings to supervisors and clients.
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on MFL equipment.
• Travel to various job sites, including remote locations, as required.
• Participate in safety meetings and ongoing training.
• Assist in other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
