Job summary

Acuren is seeking an MFL Floor Scan Technician in Houston, TX to perform nondestructive testing using various NDT methods. Set up, calibrate equipment, and interpret results with strict safety and quality adherence are required.

Qualified locals in La Porte/Houston area, with current UT/MT/PT/MFL/Vac Box certifications and a high school diploma, will be preferred. Responsibilities include reporting results and supervising others when needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
• Experience in report writing.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an MFL Floor Scan Technician.

Requirements: Current certifications in UT, MT, PT, MFL, and Vacuum Box (Vac Box).

This position is currently open to qualified local candidates in the La Porte and Houston area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
