Job summary

Acuren is seeking an MFL Floor Scan Technician to support nondestructive testing activities in the Houston and La Porte area. The role requires current UT, MT, PT, MFL, and Vacuum Box certifications, with preferred local candidates in the La Porte/Houston region.

Responsibilities include setting up NDT equipment, conducting tests to detect defects, interpreting readings, and reporting results. Candidates should hold a High School Diploma or equivalent, with some college preferred and a Level II

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Some college preferred.
• Certified Level II certification required or encouraged.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Ability to interpret inspection results and document findings.

Position Summary

Acuren is currently recruiting for an MFL Floor Scan Technician.

Requirements: Current certifications in UT, MT, PT, MFL, and Vacuum Box (Vac Box).

This position is currently open to qualified local candidates in the La Porte and Houston area.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment


• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection


• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations


• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results


• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators


• Organize and report test results


• Perform specialized inspections


• May instruct and supervise others


• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management

Requirements
