Job summary

Acuren is seeking an experienced MFL Floor Scan Technician to join our La Porte/Houston team. You will set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment, perform inspections, and report results to uphold safety and quality standards.

Qualifications include current UT/MT/PT/MFL and Vacuum Box certifications, a High School diploma (Some college preferred), and a Certified Level II. The role may involve instructing others and performing various NDT tasks.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
• Certified Level II and related NDT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results
• Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters and visual indicators
• Organize and report test results
• Perform specialized inspections
• May instruct and supervise others
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management
