MFG Plant Operations Supervisor | 6PM-6AM Rotating Schedule (Finance)
Plan, coordinate, and supervise the daily activities of assigned departments, such as maintenance, operations, and the warehouse, to ensure efficient operations. Responsible for ensuring all tasks performed by associates and others are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, and Reliability (SQR), aligning with our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership embodying our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a discipline supporting food manufacturing operations or 3+ years of equivalent experience and training
- Thorough knowledge of department operations and procedures
- Ability to write brief reports and log documentation
- Ability to understand complex instructions
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Basic math and computer skills
Desired Qualifications
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing plant
- Working knowledge of lean manufacturing practices
- Support and participate in the plant's safety processes
- Oversee daily activities of the assigned shift, relying on high concentration and operational knowledge, and communicate effectively with managers, leads, and associates
- Plan, coordinate, and advise department associates on daily work tasks
- Oversee machinery and equipment setup prior to production for efficiency
- Monitor production processes to ensure smooth flow
- Resolve operational problems during the shift
- Monitor and ensure adherence to safety and housekeeping standards
- Provide daily verbal and written reports to the production manager and relevant personnel
- Inspect products and operations to ensure quality, aiming for 85% reliability on production lines
- Facilitate or schedule regular communication meetings with department associates
- Provide progressive training to develop shift leads
- Offer regular performance feedback aligned with department and plant goals
- Follow programs and policies to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company standards
- Support development and improvement of SQF 2000 Systems
- Ensure compliance with Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles
- Supervise and coach direct reports, including performance reviews and feedback

- Work around ingredients and products containing food allergens
