Job summary

Printpack is seeking an Operator Assistant for our Metallizing facility in Villa Rica, Georgia. You will assist on the production floor, cross-train for coverage in other functions, and support future advancement opportunities.

Must be able to work a 3/2 night shift (7 pm–7 am), weekends and overtime when needed. Hourly pay is $18.14–$27.20 plus a $2.50 night-shift premium, with benefits after 30 days and a robust, multi-insurance package.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Forklift certification preferred but will train.
• Ability to judge distances while operating heavy equipment.
• Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to perform basic data entry.
• Ability to be self-directed and to multitask.
• Ability to read a tape measure.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.

Responsibilities

• Working safely and following all safety guidelines.
• Assisting and taking instructions from the Operator with the operation of the equipment to meet the production goals.
• Cross-training as Operator and being able to run equipment as the need arises.
• Ensuring quality product is being run during your shift.
• Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area that meets AIB requirements at all times during the shift.
• Learning the computer system for data entry.
• Operating overhead crane in automatic mode and performing roll changes in a safe, productive, and timely manner.
• Operating a forklift as needed.
• Participating as a team member on the plant process teams.
• Being a team player by assisting on other equipment or functions as needed.
• Reviewing ISO Work Instructions
• Completing daily checklists
• Tracking waste on each roll produced and reporting to the Operator.
• Reviewing job jacket with the Operator at the beginning of each job and ensuring that the correct material is run for the customer
• Performing vacuum maintenance on the scheduled days
• Cutting samples for lab testing
• Using Beloit Meter to check quality of raw materials and WIP
• Must perform other job functions as assigned

Night Shift Work Schedule: 3/2 Rotation - 7 pm - 7 am

Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed

Hourly Pay Range: $18.14 - $27.20 + Night Shift Premium (Additional $2.50 per hour)

Minimum Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older

• Forklift certification preferred but will train

• Must not be on probation or on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)

• Must not have received disciplinary action above Verbal warning within last 120 days

• Must have received at least 'Performer' rating on last review
