Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking qualified applicants to fill an immediate opening for Operator Assistant in their Metallizing manufacturing facility located in Villa Rica, Georgia. This person will work in a team environment, assist on the production floor as needed, and must be willing to cross-train to provide coverage as needed in other job functions and prepare for future advancement opportunities.

Night Shift Work Schedule: 3/2 Rotation - 7 pm - 7 am
Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed
Hourly Pay Range: $17.56 - $26.35 + Night Shift Premium (Additional $2.50 per hour)

Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or GED equivalent required
Must be 18 years of age or older
Forklift certification preferred but will train
Ability to judge distances while operating heavy equipment
Ability to follow oral and written instructions
Ability to perform basic data entry
Ability to be self-directed and to multitask
Ability to read a tape measure
Ability to work in a team environment
Ability to lift objects weighing at least 60 pounds
Must cross-train into other job functions and fill in as needed
Must have good work history and safety record
Must be able to pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Internal Applicants
Must be in current position a minimum of 120 days
Must not be on probation or on a Performance Improvement Plan (PIP)
Must not have received disciplinary action above Verbal warning within last 120 days
Must have received at least 'Performer' rating on last review

Working safely and following all safety guidelines
Assisting and taking instructions from the Operator with the operation of the equipment to meet the production goals
Cross-training as Operator and being able to run equipment as the need arises.
Ensuring quality product is being run during your shift
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organized work area that meets AIB requirements at all times during the shift
Learning the computer system for data entry
Operating overhead crane in automatic mode and performing roll changes in a safe, productive, and timely manner
Operating a forklift as needed
Participating as a team member on the plant process teams
Being a team player by assisting on other equipment or functions as needed
Reviewing and understanding all related ISO Work Instructions
Completing daily checklists
Tracking waste on each roll produced and reporting to the Operator.
Reviewing job jacket with the Operator at the beginning of each job and ensuring that the correct material is run for the customer
Performing vacuum maintenance on the scheduled days
Cutting samples for lab testing
Using Beloit Meter to check quality of raw materials and WIP
Must perform other job functions as assigned
