Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated full-time Industrial Maintenance Technician to join and grow with our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing assigned tasks in a safe and cooperative manner.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and enforcement of safety procedures.
• Cooperation and respect for others.
• Perform errands and gather tools/equipment to complete maintenance tasks.
• Perform routine inspections, testing, and preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.
• Assist with installation and upgrades to equipment and production systems.
• Assist with troubleshooting and diagnosis of equipment and facilities.
• Assist with repairs and maintenance of equipment and facilities.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and report any operational concerns.
• Collaborate with team members to minimize downtime and optimize efficiency.
• Operate forklifts, overhead cranes, or other equipment as needed.
• Complete all required training as it pertains to the Tier 2 training plan.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED); or three to six months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of experience and education. Technical certification or degree preferred.
• A valid driver’s license.
• Ability to read, interpret, and follow procedures, instructions, and safety rules.
• Ability to write reports, correspondence, and effectively communicate information in all situations.
• Familiar with computers and the ability to be trained to use company software.
• Familiar with the use of hand tools, i.e. wrenches, hammers, drivers, pliers, etc.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime if necessary.
Work Environment:
The industrial work environment characteristics described here are a general representation of those an employee will encounter while performing the essential functions of this job.
• Exposure to moving mechanical parts and equipment.
• Exposure to hot, humid, possibly wet conditions, as well as cold conditions.
• Possible exposure to steam, and the chemicals that are used to treat that water.
• Performing tasks at high, elevated locations and in confined spaces.
• Exposure to fumes or airborne particulates.
• Exposure to oils, grease, and cleaning products.
• Exposure to loud industrial environment.
• The employee will be required to sit, stand, walk, climb, and work from floor level. This may include but not limited to kneeling, crouching, stooping, or crawling.
• An employee must be able to lift 51 pounds.
• Employees are required to wear steel toe boots with metatarsal protection and safety glasses. Some tasks will require gloves, hearing protection, or other Personal Protective Equipment.
Starting hourly rate is $22.00 + 8% shift differential for 2nd and 3rd shift positions.
