Lead the effective execution of all plant maintenance and assigned projects, in support of safety, quality, and continuous improvement. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the entire plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field or 5 years of progressive experience in maintenance supervision.
- Experience in the food industry dealing with preventative/predictive maintenance processes, technical guidance, and development of the maintenance workforce.
- Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office and CMMS.
- Proven leadership skills.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Strong analytical ability.
- Knowledge of Food Safety Principles, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), and EPA and OSHA requirements.
Desired Qualifications
- Other Bachelor's degrees in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering.
- Experience in continuous improvement activities.
- Experience as a plant maintenance supervisor, ensuring safe, efficient, and effective use of all supervised craft resources.
- Ability to supervise and coach direct reports, complete performance reviews, and provide feedback.
- Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, DHEC, NEC, and FDA regulations.
- Ability to direct mechanics in maintenance work, including quality control, duration, cost, and thoroughness.
- Experience in assigning and inspecting planned preventative maintenance (PPM) work orders.
- Skill in reviewing and refining job packages for completeness and correctness.
- Ability to identify and coordinate skills training and development needs.
- Commitment to good housekeeping and safe work practices.
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment and provide leadership in this area.
- Proficiency in reporting labor, parts, and work through CMMS.
- Adherence to programs, policies, and practices to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company standards.
