Job description

Job Title: MFG Maintenance Mechanic (Finance)

Perform tasks related to preventative maintenance, mechanical machine repairs, inspection and testing of equipment, building maintenance, and specific projects. Ensure all jobs are performed safely, efficiently, and accurately to maintain and improve plant performance in Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR), and our Customer 1st strategy. Provide leadership embodying our 7 Kroger Manufacturing High Performance Work System principles. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Strong attention to detail with high accuracy and precision.
  • Proficient mechanical skills in electrical, welding and fabrication, utilities, or basic PLCs.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Sense of urgency during downtime.
  • Positive team player with reliability and dependability.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Experience in food manufacturing and knowledge of GMP.
  • 2+ years maintenance mechanic experience or relevant technical training/certification.
  • Ability to install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, structures, and systems.
  • Skill in using machine tools like lathes, grinders, drill presses, and milling machines.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair production and facility equipment efficiently.
  • Ability to complete work orders and handle emergency tasks.
  • Maintain a clean and organized maintenance area.
  • Use maintenance systems for daily duties.
  • Operate material handling equipment safely.
  • Document work accurately.
  • Support predictive and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Participate in initiatives to minimize downtime and optimize plant operations.
  • Perform duties safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and regulatory standards, including food safety and allergen protocols.

Salary Range: $34.5 - $38.9 per hour.
